Some of the best things in life were created by accident, and Koloko Pea Crackers are no exception!
During the economic boom of the 1970s, Mr Lee Guoheng of Lian Hwa Foods bought a noodle-making machine. Being a natural inventor, he wanted to create something never before seen in the market.
More than a hundred formulas and shapes later, the one-of-a-kind spiral cracker was born.
The crackers were fried and sold along Taipei’s famous Dihua Street and grew more popular as people began to catch onto the new crunchy snack sensation. Officially launching across Taiwan in 1971, Koloko Pea Crackers have since gained a following in many other countries, including Malaysia.
Thanks to Mr Lee’s creativity and emphasis on taste, crispiness and quality, these savoury and delicious crackers have become a classic snack that anyone can fall in love with at first crunch!
